Founder and Director, Jeremy Youst

Jeremy has been facilitating loving empowerment for individuals and groups for over twenty-five years.  Initially trained in Re-evaluation Counseling, he began teaching classes and co-leading workshops in 1979.  His interest in Native American studies led to trainings in shamanic healing and the beginning of a monthly Sacred Circle, a spiritual gathering that met in Keene, NH for 17 years.

Jeremy’s interest in breathwork began in 1989, and continued until 1998 when he received his Facilitator Certification from the Transformational Breath Foundation.  In 1999 he became a Board member and then was certified as a Senior Trainer of the TBF. Then, in 2001, Jeremy co-founded with his wife, Helaine Iris and colleague, Maryanna Bock, the Power of Breath School for Life Mastery (now called the Power of Breath Institute) and began offering classes, workshops and trainings. In the spring of 2003, Jeremy initiated the 9-month Empowerment Training program and then in 2004 the 9-month Facilitator Certification Training program, the completion of which provides students with international breathwork certification.

In 2004, Jeremy became a member of the International Breathwork Foundation and served as National Coordinator for U. S. breathwork community. In 2005 he became a board member of the International Breathwork Training Alliance, an organization dedicated to establishing the ethical and professional standards for breathwork around the world.

In 1989 Jeremy became involved in men’s work and started a weekly Men’s Circle that has periodically met in Keene ever since.  Then, in 2002 he became a board member and volunteer facilitator for the Monadnock Men’s Resource Center of Keene.

In addition to his workshop and training schedule, Jeremy currently maintains a private practice in Spofford, NH. He enjoys nurturing his family and community and in his spare time can be found either in his yard carving pipestone or walking in nature.

Assistant Trainer, Elizabeth Allen

Elizabeth Allen is a certified Power of Breath practitioner and an assistant Trainer with the POBI. She teaches yoga, and is also certified in massage, energy balancing and herbal medicine. Elizabeth is passionate about co-creating community founded in the practice of loving kindness, where every being is encouraged to express their whole, radiant self. Since 2005 she has been teaching individuals and groups Breathwork practices that inspire creativity, freedom, and soul growth.

Assistant Trainer, Rob Bruillard

Rob is a certified and licensed massage therapist and bodywork instructor. In 1996, he founded Bodyworkers of Boston, a collective of private holistic practitioners. He is a level 2 Thai-Yoga practitioner and instructor having studied extensively at Kripalu and in Thailand. Rob is also an assistant with Body Electric’s intensive programs, and Authentic Eros workshops. He facilitates men’s groups locally and at Easton Mountain, and skillfully works in the modality of Sacred-Intimate healing. Rob began breathwork in 2000, and since 2005, has been involved with the Power of Breath Institute assisting in breath workshops locally and internationally. Rob’s passion involves interacting as a catalyst for change and as mentor for self empowerment in the gay men’s community. To this end, breathwork has been the key to opening the path back to self love.


Assistant Trainer, Ron King

Ron is an experienced workshop leader and facilitates breathwork for individuals and groups; he completed his International Breathwork Certification through the Power of Breath Institute in 2006. Ron was ordained an interfaith minister in 2006 and continues his seminary studies. He studied with the Body Electric School of Healing Arts and has created a sacred healing touch practice wherein breathwork has an integral role. He holds a BA from Duke University and is an intensive special education teacher in Vermont. He is a member of the extended gay spiritual community of Easton Mountain Retreat in Greenwich, NY and is the father of two adult children.

Assistant Trainer, Cyndy Kinnecom

Cyndy Kinnecom is certified as a breathwork practitioner through the Power of Breath Institute, trained as a Life Purpose Coach through Life on Purpose Institute, and has received ordination in Earth Circle Leadership though Earth Circle Ministries.  She blends and integrates the practical application of her education with a strong and rich life experience, maintaining a private practice for clients in Steamboat Springs, CO as well as the Triangle area of NC.  She also offers coaching over the telephone for clients in any location in the US.  She is offering a 3-Month Empowerment Training in NC, Spring 2010. Assistant Trainer, Kaiilama Morris

Kaiilama is a certified breath practitioner with a private practice in Brattleboro, Vermont, who has studied and facilitated with both the Transformational Breath Foundation and The Power of Breath Institute for over eight years. She is presently on the teaching staff of the Power of Breath Institute. Kaiilama’s greatest passion is in supporting others towards self-empowerment in and through love.

Assistant Trainer, Tania Neuschafter

Tania Neuschafer is a Certified Therapeutic Breathwork practitioner and long-time student of the breath. A graduate of the Power of Breath Institute, she spent two years as an Assistant Trainer with the POBI’s 9-month Empowerment Training and is currently studying to lead POBI Empowerment Trainings through the Trainers in Training Program. She is a graduate of the Earth Circle School for Ministry, has an MS in Environmental Education and has years assisting with and leading wilderness ceremonies on the land.  Tania resides in Portland, Maine.

Tara Nieves’s is a certified Power of Breath breathwork practitioner with a successful private practice, Breath Awakening, serving the South Shore, MA. She has facilitated individuals and groups through a variety of educational and therapeutic modalities for sixteen years.  Her life purpose is to create a loving & safe place for individuals and groups to go within and discover the love that they are.   In addition to breathwork, Tara is a Reiki Master; a Massachusetts Licensed elementary educator; and has completed the Earth Circle Spiritual Leadership Training in West Bath, Maine. For more information, visit  www.breathawakening.com .

Assistant Trainer – Lisa Silverman

Lisa Silverman has been a certified breathworker from the International Breathwork Institute since 1994.  She graduated from the Power of Breath Institute’s 2 year certification program in 2004.  Since then she has been assisting trainings at POBI in Spofford and in Ireland, teaching classes and breath intros and seeing private clients in Portland, Maine where she lives. Lisa is also a shiatsu therapist and natural foods chef. She is the Founder of Five Seasons Cooking School since 1992.  Lisa is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has been the Co-director of Kindred Spirits Camp at Rowe Camp and Conference Center for three years.
